McElvaney Motors Makes a Wedding Wish Come True
Long established Scania Main Dealer and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Partner, McElvaney Motors, is more synonymous with trucks and vans rather than wedding ceremonies.  However a recent caller, Cathy Barry, to Today FMs Fix-It-Friday show with Ray D’Arcy, requesting a Scania truck for their big day, resulted in McElvaney Motors expanding their services!

Cathy Barry from Dublin was marrying her finance Frank, ex long distance haulier, now a school teacher.  Frank has a passion for trucks and Scanias in particular!  As a surprise, Cathy wanted to have a Scania truck to bring them from the wedding ceremony to their reception.  Ray D’Arcy and his Fix-It-Friday show are renowned for organising things for people and so Cathy made the call to see if anyone could help make her Scania wedding wish come true.  McElvaney Motors were happy to help and donated a top of the range NEW Scania R730 (one of only a few in the country) as well as a NEW luxurious Volkswagen Caravelle for the bridal party.

Somehow Cathy and family managed to keep the secret from Frank who had absolutely no idea and the look of shock on Frank’s face on the day when he saw the awaiting Scania R730 was priceless!  According to Emer Conlon, Marketing Manager McElvaney Motors, “We were delighted to be able to make Cathy’s wish come true and to play a small part in their big day.
