Chassis Repair Workshop

McElvaney Motors has invested in the highest quality, most modern equipment possible, in the Chassis Repair Workshop. The specialised equipment is both versatile and universal to all makes and models of vehicles from truck chassis' to contractor machinery and cranes. The state-of-the-art Josam equipment, installed in this department, ensures trucks can be repaired in a cost effective and timely manner.

Services available in the Chassis Shop include:

   -    Estimates on Crash Repair
       Comprehensive, detailed and accurate estimates are compiled in a timely
       fashion. It can be either emailed or posted depending on customer
       requirements.

   - Chassis Damage Check
       A quick assessment can be carried out on the chassis to ascertain the extent of
       damage and the approx. cost of repair.

   - Chassis Straightening & Re-Alignment
      Both the Josam Lazer Alignment Equipment and the Josam Induction Heating
      System enables the customer’s vehicle to be restored to it’s original shape and
      returned to perfect condition. This state-of-the-art Josam equipment, installed in
      the workshop, makes it possible to repair damaged vehicles using the minimum
      amount of new components, thus reducing the cost to the customer immensely!

   - Cab Repair
      The Cab Bench is fully equipped to repair any make or model of cab. It provides
       the correct mounting points using jigs for particular cab types. Press/Pull Trolleys
       are used in conjunction with the Cab Bench to align the frame of the cab to
       meet these points. The workshop in McElvaney Motors was specifically
       designed to facilitate the Josam floor beams together with a purpose built pit.
       Here there are two main chassis repair lanes – each lane is capable of handling
       three trucks at any one time. As a result of the manoeuvrability of the
       light-weight equipment, several jobs can be progressed to different stages
       simultaneously.
